Edge Formwork is an engineered wood product for use in concrete construction applications. It is painted red for easy visual identification and sealed with a water-resistant red coating to increase its durability, providing users with extended lifecycles and superior performance.
Produced from sustainable timber and harvested from certified plantations, SmartEdge has uniformly consistent edging and is also an environmentally friendly composite timber product.

The LVL 150 x 36 SmartEdge we stock is made to high-quality standards and complies with AS/NZS 4357.0 – Structural Laminated Veneer Lumber. This compliance has been certified by BSI, an Australian accreditation body approved by JAS-ANZ. The same accreditation body that other major LVL manufacturers use to accredit their LVLs. Our product uses the same/equivalent timber species, glue, and manufacturing process as other local major LVL manufacturers.
LVL Accreditation Process
To achieve accreditation, rigorous testing is conducted on the LVL end products as required by the BSI & JAS-ANZ accreditation process. This testing confirms the strengths required to achieve the F17 or equivalent stress grades on the LVL products before any certificates can be issued. BSI also physically visits the producing factories and audits their quality control standards and manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with Australian Standards. Once these processes are satisfied, BSI will also conduct routine checks to ensure product compliance where required by AS 4357.0.
